DYK? Quick Post
Did You Know? Many CPCs have what they call "earn while you learn" programs to ration the baby supplies they often advertise as "free." These "learning" opportunities occasionally take the form of parenting and infant CPR classes, but the vast majority of them are Bible studies and other religiously-oriented activities, even though most CPCs claim to offer assistance "regardless of faith."
So CPCs are trying to brainwash future mothers in need by having them learn Christian lies for much-needed baby supplies.
Why is this done? I think it's in hopes of infecting the mother with Christian faith and having the mother communicate the illness of Christian faith to their defenseless child. Sickening.
Hrm... Jessica, your comment is interesting because many of our CPC Watch supporters and volunteers are Christians themselves, and would hardly consider the faith a bunch of "lies."
What's more interesting is I feel you know we're right to raise an eyebrow at this practice. Jesus preached good will and charity. Charity is, by definition, not something that requires anything in return.
I'll quote Deuteronomy here: "If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs."
Why, then, are so many CPCs, *especially* those that claim to offer services regardless of religious affiliation, requiring women to "earn points" instead of just offering baby supplies to women who *need* them, as many CPC websites claim to do?
